“A Hidden Beauty”
Brain and eye candy.
Though lacks backstory and scope,
might in the unsaid.
How to know what’s right?
Steady integrity or
misled by virtue?
Malick lulls us deep
into halcyon musings-
but then into sleep.
Planned repetition.
Sublime signature style
can be oppressive.
Defying the dark, grim themes,
invokes A Hidden Beauty.

Title Meaning: The credit goes to the closing line of author George Eliot’s classic novel “Middlemarch”: “… for the growing good of the world is partly dependent on unhistoric acts; and that things are not so ill with you and me as they might have been is half owing to the number who lived faithfully a hidden life, and rest in unvisited tombs.”
