“Fun and Done”
sex and lies,
drugs and guns,
kills and thrills.
Argento
rules the screen;
intense eyes.
ice cold mood,
paranoid.
then over.
Title Meaning: Director Assayas explains it refers to “the idea of a passage between two worlds”. The film does indeed literally play out in two worlds, the first half of the film set in Paris, France, the second half in Hong Kong, China. apparently this was actually the second choice for the film’s name; the original, “Departed”- a word found on the Hong Kong passport stamp used by airport officials”- had to be forfeited due to Martin scorsese’s 2006 thriller by the same name.
